DU is one of the 2 leaders in telecommunications in the United Arab Emirates. In this country, the vast majority of smartphone users recharge their internet subscriptions by phone every day.

Challenges and issues

Managing 15,000 simultaneous phone conversations with millions of customers recharging their subscriptions daily.
Wide variety of online transactions due to the large number of price plans for prepaid subscriptions.
Multilingual management of customer conversations in Arabic, English and Hindi.

Solution implemented:

  • Resumption of a specific development in a modern environment that can be parameterized
  • Largest VocaBase architecture ever deployed, spread over 28 redundant servers
  • SIP integration with the Ericsson telephony platform through a VXML platform 
  • Integration plugins with 3 IT applications 
    • EAI : ?
    • CBS: customer management 
    • VOMS: Seamless Distribution Systems recharge management
  • Initial development of the application by VocaBase as a subcontractor of Seamless Distribution Systems

Results and Benefits:

No production downtime since the start of production in late 2019.
Corrective and evolutionary maintenance of the application, both functionally and technically, by the integrator and the end client, after training by VocaBase.
